When we took Casper home with us in November of 2006, we put a bug in Kim Shira’s ear that Mark wanted his very own show dog. He was very specific in his requirements. He wanted Maya. Of course that wasn’t about to happen, nor were any puppies from Maya going to appear any time soon.

In February of 2007, Kim contacted us and asked if we would like to co-own Pearl with her. Of course we jumped at the opportunity.

Pearl is an incredible girl. She is my ideal Cardigan bitch. A dead level topline, massive bone, short hocks, large rib spring and an incredible flying trot. Top it off with the most hilarious personality. She talks and talks and talks some more. She loves to herd her basketball and burrows under the covers in bed. She then wakes us with her yodels each morning.

After getting acquainted with each other, and the ring, Mark and Pearl made their debut in May 2007, at the Centralia shows. That Sunday, they took reserve to a three point major.

Pearl and Mark took a five point major reserve at the CWCCA supported entry in Richland, WA in September of 2007, with a bitch entry of 20!

Pearl took her second major on October 28, 2007, at the Vancouver Kennel Club under judge Ms. Gloria Kerr. Pearl was SIX weeks pregnant at the time of this win!

Her first litter of puppies was born November 17, 2007. Two black & white girls, two black and white boys and a lovely pastel blue girl joined us! Click here for more!!
